Andre Masuko

Research Analyst, Latin America & The Caribbean

Andre is a Research Analyst for Latin America and the Caribbean at EIU, where he forecasts political, economic, financial risk and policy trends across the region. He is responsible for the coverage of Brazil, Cuba, El Salvador, Paraguay and Venezuela.

Prior to joining EIU, Andre worked for Nexo Jornal (a Brazilian news outlet) and Tendencias Consultoria (a leading economic consulting firm), where he delivered reports covering political, policy and market developments in Latin America. Andre also has experience in academia, where he worked as a research assistant at FGV (a think tank).

Andre holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Affairs from the Getulio Vargas Foundation (Brazil), with an exchange period at Erasmus University Rotterdam (Netherlands).
