Kalyani Honrao

Research Analyst

Kalyani Honrao is a Research Analyst in the Asia Country Analysis team and is based in the Mumbai office. She joined in 2021 and is responsible for coverage and forecasts of Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and Fiji.

Prior to that, she worked as an academic associate at the Indian Institute of Management Indore and co-authored a research paper based on inflation targeting in India. She also worked as a research assistant in the Economics department of the University of Pune and conducted research on political economy of land acquisition in India and role of gender in elections in India.

Kalyani holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Pune. She has also completed a German language proficiency course from Goethe Institute Pune.
