Kate Parker

Principal Economist, Europe; Manager, Financial Risk

Kate has worked for over 20 years on country risk across a variety of geographic regions. She currently covers Europe but also has extensive experience in Latin America and the Middle East & Africa. She manages the EIU’s Financial Risk services for Europe, producing sovereign credit ratings and assessing how political and economic risk affect creditworthiness. She has a wealth of external-facing experience, ranging from client presentations, conference work and ambassadorial briefings. A keen writer, she has written articles for The Economist, the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) and the Huffington Post, among others. She has also edited several of the books in the ‘Economist Guides’ series.
